I have my graduation ceremony coming up this Wednesday and my mum very kindly decided to make my week a little bit extra special by taking me on a major shopping spree! Here is the list of some of the goodies that I was very lucky to be able to purchase:

1. Eylure Katy Perry Colour Pop lashes - £2.99 from TKmaxx
2. Eylure Exaggerate lashes, no. 156 - £2.99 from TKmaxx (bargain!)
3. Eylure Exaggerate lashes, no. 143 - £5.49 from Boots (HERE)
4. Urban Decay "All nighter" makeup setting spray - £21 from Debenhams (I couldn't find this one online, but HERE's an alternative)
5. Urban Decay "Naked 2" eyeshadow palette - £38 from Debenhams (HERE)

This may sound surprising after my mega eyelash splurge, but I have never worn falsies in my life! But now that I finally have some spare time in my hands, I'm hoping to be able to start making quick Instagram makeup tutorials - the thought of Youtube terrifies me -  and so of course, falsies are a must have. Also, I have been eyeing up the Urban Decay "Naked 2" palette for quite some time now, and I can finally say that it's mine! I am so excited to give this baby a try, so stay tuned for the upcoming makeup looks!

What are your thoughts on today's post? What is currently on your Beauty Wishlist that you simply cannot wait to get your hands on?

Lots of Love, Ana

Mini Primark Haul

Last week I quickly popped by Primark where I fell in love with a few bits and bobs, pictured above:

1. Coconut and Vanilla scented candle - £2
2. Snake print sunglasses travel case - £1.50 (Bargain!)
3. Sunflower hair tie - £2
4. Friendship bracelets- £2

Of course, the brief visit would not have been complete without stocking up on a couple of essentials including bobbypins, elastic hair bands, natural skin colour tights and a pack of simple ear studs.

What do you think of the items pictured above? What are your Primark shopping trip essentials?

Lots of love, Ana

Swimwear Guide

With Summer rapidly approaching, our thoughts are turning towards long days at the beach with good friends, warm water and cocktail binging. However, we all know how much of a nightmare finding the perfect swimwear outfit can be. It's no secret that we all come in a vast array of different shapes and sizes, and for many of us finding swimwear to complement our individual figures can be nothing short of a daunting task. To ease this headache, this guide has been put together to help you choose the right swimwear according to your body shape; one that offers a flattering cut to accentuate and highlight your best assets, and has a functional design that looks and feels great on sand or in water.

Apple:

Body shape: Apple shaped women have a large bust and broad shoulders. Hips are narrow and the waist is less defined. This shape should invest in swimwear that balances proportions and offers coverage across the bottom half.

Do:
- Opt for swimwear that offers support and has a hidden underwire, supportive cups or a wideband just below the bust.
-A vertical striped pattern is a great option as this will elongate the body and give a slimming effect.
- For those who are concerned about their belly, a wrap style swimsuit is a great choice. The overlapping layers of fabric will disguise the middle, and create the illusion of a flatter stomach.
- Apple's have a beautiful voluptuous body. A belted swimsuit will clinch the waist in the perfect place, bringing more focus to those sexy curves!

Avoid:
- String bikinis.
- Shiny or textured swimsuits as these can highlight and bring focus to any unflattering areas.

Recommendations:

1. Cross control swimsuit - HERE
2. Phase Eight bikini HERE
3. Long line bikini- HERE

Hourglass:

Body shape: Hourglass shaped women have a petite waist alongside a fuller bust and shapely legs.

Do:
-Make sure that the swimsuit/bikini has a hidden underwire if you have a large bust.
-A plunging V-neckline  or thick-strapped triangle top provides support whilst making the bust the prominent feature.
- Bottoms with string at the sides downplays the bottom part of the body, giving a more balanced silhouette.

Avoid:
-
This body type can pull off pretty much any style of swimwear!

Recommendations:

1. TRIANGL bikini in "Peach Soda" - HERE
2. Coral striped bikini - HERE and HERE
3. Dickins and Jones Floral Spot bikini- HERE and HERE

Pear:

Body shape: Pear shaped women have wide hips, bums and thighs. Shoulders are narrow and the bust is smaller. This shape should search for swimwear that balances out her proportions.

Do:
- A push-up underwired styled bikini will give the impression of defined and larger breasts.
-Ruffles, padded cups, pleating, embellishments and other different textures and details on the bust will divert the attention from your lower half.
- A plunging v-neckline will bring the attention to your upper body, giving the illusion of a more proportioned silhouette
- Mix and match! Darker bottoms will make the booty appear smaller, and a lighter top will bring focus to the bust; this in turn will balance and even out your figure.

Avoid:
-Avoid bandeau bikini tops as this will only emphasize a small bust.

Recommendations:

1. Aqua Lace high- waisted bikini- HERE and HERE
2. Red strappy bikini - HERE and HERE
3. White V-front swimsuit- HERE

Slender:

Body shape: A Slender body is rectangular in shape, straight without curves. Swimwear for this body type should seek to add curves.

Do:
- Opt for styles with a lot of upper and lower body details: ruffles, fringes, embellishments, prints, embroidery, and other frills will create the illusion of a more defined, feminine shape.
-Horizontal lines will create the illusion of a fuller and broader body shape.
- Triangular shaped tops will bring focus to your upper body, creating the illusion of slightly larger breasts.
-Swimsuit with a belted waistline or cut out sides will enhance the waist and give the impression of a curvaceous figure.

Avoid:
-Bandeau bikinis will make your bust appear smaller, bringing further focus to your boyish shape.
- Thick strapped halter bikinis will make your breasts appear smaller.

Recommendations:

1. Bandeau Cut-out swimsuit - HERE
2. Ruffle Triangle Bikini HERE
3. Cut-out Zip Back swimsuit - HERE

Petite:

Body shape: Petite women are shorter in height and have a slender frame. Swimwear for this body type should seek to elongate a short torso and give the illusion of curves.

Do:
- A plunging neckline will create the illusion of an elongated torso, making petite women appear taller.
-Opt for swimwear with ruffles, padded cups, embellishments, waist belts and different textures to accentuate your small curves.
-High cut string bikini briefs are the best option to create the illusion of lengthened, leaner legs.

Avoid:
-Avoid shorts as these will simply bring attention to the lower half of the body, making legs appear shorter.

Recommendations:

1. Tropical print bikini- HERE and HERE
2. Ted Baker Peony print bikini- HERE and HERE
3. Scalloped bandeau bikini - HERE
